I do not know about you but I struggle with wanting life on my terms. I have dreams, plans and ideas of how my life is supposed to look but, those are my plans NOT God’s plans.
You know those dreams and plans we hold on to just might be limiting or blocking God’s bigger and better plans for our lives. We might be missing something because we are so focussed on what we think we should have instead of what He is doing in the background.
Letting go and trusting our Heavenly Father to guide the way is scary because we not only have to surrender our lives but, we also need to surrender our plans and dreams.
That’s a tough one for me *sigh*
As a dreamer and planner I had things set for my life. I had ideas and plans for how my life is “suppose” to look but my reality is much different from my plans.
What if we just let go and fully trust Him to take us to new depths and heights in this life?
What if we gave God our dreams and plans?
What if we woke everyday expecting Him to move and use us in this broken world?
We might be missing something BIG if we stay laser focussed on our plans for this life. We might miss out on an opportunity because we are looking the other way. We might miss out on an open door because we are staring at a closed one.
I don’t know about you but I do NOT want to miss out on what God has for me or my life. Which means I have to decide what I want more… my dreams for me or God’s dreams to use me.
Instead of wasting anymore time on my plans and dreams I need to let go and allow Him to give me new dreams and plan. I need to surrender those plans I am still holding too tightly in order for Him to take me to new places in life. This is not going to be easy but I would hate to waste anymore time on things that might be keeping me stuck in life.
What will you choose?
Father God guide us to let go and fully trust Your plans for our lives. Lead us to make the right choices and not miss the prompting You are giving us. Help us to have strength to fully trust and surrender our lives for You greater good. It’s in Your name we pray, amen.
